Spendthrift and Other Irrevocable Trusts

 

Irrevocable Trusts typically are used as asset protection and income and estate tax minimization devices which pass property to others while the donor is still alive.  A spendthrift trust is designed to protect beneficiaries from themselves as well as current and future creditors.
